Hans is a programmer and speaker with an interest in everything from electronic engineering to compiler development. 
He regularly speaks at conferences about his Rust and Elixir work, and has been involved in the Rust community since 2015. He is a regular contributor to variety of open source Rust projects.

Chris Simmonds is a software consultant and trainer living in southern England. He has spent almost two decades designing and building open-source embedded systems of all shapes and sizes, and he has encapsulated much of that experience in his book, “Mastering Embedded Linux Programming”.

He is a frequent presenter at open source and embedded conferences, including the Embedded Linux Conference and Embedded World. You can see some of his work on the “Inner Penguin” blog at www.2net.co.uk

JeanHeyd "ThePhD" is a student and an organizer for 

, and they manage large open-source contributions -- sol2, ztd.text, ztd.cuneicode, and more -- that is used across many industries and academic disciplines. They are currently working towards earning their own nickname, climbing the academic ladder while spending as much time as possible contributing to C and C++ standardization and development. Their newest and biggest project is Unicode for C and C++. Learn more about JeanHeyd's work 

They very much love dogs and hopes to have their own in a few years or so. They also like TWRP's "Feels Pretty Good" from the album Together Through Time, and "Truth" from T-SQUARE's album TRUTH.

Klaus Iglberger is a freelancing C++ trainer and consultant. He has finished his PhD in computer science in 2010 and since then is focused on large-scale C++ software design. He shares his experience in popular advanced C++ courses around the world (mainly in Germany, but also the EU and US). Additionally, he is the author of "C++ Software Design" (https://learning.oreilly.com/library/view/c-software-design/9781098113155/), the initiator and lead designer of the Blaze C++ math library (https://bitbucket.org/blaze-lib/blaze/src/master/) and an organizer of the Munich C++ user group (https://www.meetup.com/MUCplusplus/).

Patricia Aas is an international speaker and has spoken at CppCon, ACCU, C++OnSea, NDC Security, NDC Oslo and many other conferences on subjects ranging from Sandboxing in Chromium to Vulnerabilities in C++. She has taught a range of subjects in Computer Science at the University of Oslo.

Patricia has a masters degree in Computer Science and 13 years professional experience as a programmer, most of that time programming in C++. During that time she has worked in codebases with a high focus on security: two browsers (Opera and Vivaldi) and embedded Cisco telepresence systems.

Jason has 2 decades of C++ experience and is a regular conference speaker, developer, and trainer. He is host of the YouTube channel C++ Weekly and co-host of CppCast, the first podcast for C++ developers.

John Regehr is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Utah, where he has been on the faculty since 2003. His research focuses on software testing, software verification, and compiler optimization. One of Professor Regehr's current projects is Alive2, a tool for formally verifying (or finding bugs in) optimizations performed by the LLVM compiler. So far, it has resulted in the discovery of more than 50 previously unknown LLVM defects. His previous projects include Csmith, a random program generator that found more than 500 bugs in production-quality C compilers, and C-Reduce, a tool that can greatly reduce the size of a test case that triggers a compiler bug.


Aaron Ballman is a Sr Staff Compiler Engineer with Intel, the lead
maintainer of the Clang open source compiler, and a veteran member of
both the C++ standards committee (WG21) and the C standards committee
(WG14). His primary interest in compilers and programming languages is
in finding ways to inform programmers about potential mistakes in
their code through compiler diagnostics, static analysis, and dynamic
analysis. He's been programming in C and C++ for over 20 years, has
authored multiple books on programming languages, and currently lives
in rural Maine with his wife, three dogs, three cats, two horses, and
numerous chickens.

Equinor

Olve Maudal has been writing code for more than 40 years. Professionally he has been involved in developing software for: insurance applications, road toll systems, seismic acquisition, high performance computing, banking, payment terminals, videoconferencing appliances, cloud, energy systems. Olve has been teaching coding skills and software engineering techniques for two decades, mostly related to C++, TDD, Java, secure coding, Python, and C. Olve is based in Oslo where he currently works for Equinor. 

Dr. Venkat Subramaniam is an award-winning author, founder of Agile Developer, Inc., creator of agilelearner.com, and an instructional professor at the University of Houston.

He has trained and mentored thousands of software developers in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia, and is a regularly-invited speaker at several international conferences. Venkat helps his clients effectively apply and succeed with sustainable agile practices on their software projects.

Timur Doumler is C++ Developer Advocate at JetBrains and an active member of the ISO C++ standard committee. As a developer, he worked many years in the audio and music technology industry and co-founded the music tech startup Cradle. Timur is passionate about building inclusive communities, clean code, good tools, low latency, and the evolution of the C++ language.

Ólafur Waage is a Senior Software Developer working for TurtleSec in Norway. Previously he worked for many years in the gaming and air traffic control industries. His work focuses mainly on programming with C++. In his spare time he unsurprisingly likes video games and puzzles but he also enjoys non-fiction audio books and it would be a very strange day if it were not filled with music in some way.

Sebastian is a chemical engineer turned software developer. Previously working with fire simulation and probabilistic risk analysis in the Oil & Gas sector, he has transitioned into software engineering and now works as an independent consultant. 

Sebastian is passionate about improving quality and reproducibility in science and research by bridging the knowledge gap between scientists and software engineers.

Björn wrote his first program in 1980. After completing his MSc in CS and Engineering in 1994, programming has been the primary source of income, mostly from writing embedded software for communications systems. He has been working for a while at Net Insight, where he wears many hats, including mentor, trouble shooter, network communications expert, software architect and programmer; the latter in increasingly modern C++.

Occasionally Björn has been seen tinkering with unorthodox software constructs, pondering "what can be done with this?" He lives in Stockholm

Robert C. Seacord is standardization lead at Woven Planet, where he helps standardize software development practices. Robert is an expert on ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22/WG14, the international standardization working group for the C programming language. He is the author of seven books, including Effective C (No Starch, 2020), The CERT C Coding Standard, Second Edition (Addison-Wesley, 2014),
Secure Coding in C and C++, Second Edition (Addison-Wesley, 2013), and Java Coding Guidelines: 75 Recommendations for Reliable and Secure Programs (Addison-Wesley, 2014). He has also published more than 50 papers on software security, component-based software engineering, web-based system design, legacy-system modernization, component repositories and search engines, and user interface design and development.

Anders started programming in Turbo Pascal in 1995, and has been programming professionally in various languages since 2001. He's currently a senior developer at Zivid, making 3D cameras for robot vision. He's the author of cppquiz.org and the blog C++ on a Friday. 

As a C and C++ software developer, Anastasia Kazakova created real-time *nix-based systems and pushed them to production for 8 years. She worked as an intern in Microsoft Research, Networking department, and launched the first 4G network in Russia being a part of the Yota operator team. She has a passion for networking algorithms and embedded programming and believes in good tooling. With all her love for C++, she is now the Product Marketing Manager on the JetBrains C++ tools and .NET marketing teams.
