Hans is a programmer and speaker with an interest in everything from electronic engineering to compiler development.
He regularly speaks at conferences about his Rust and Elixir work, and has been involved in the Rust community since 2015. He is a regular contributor to variety of open source Rust projects.

Chris Simmonds is a software consultant and trainer living in southern England. He has spent almost two decades designing and building open-source embedded systems of all shapes and sizes, and he has encapsulated much of that experience in his book, “Mastering Embedded Linux Programming”.

He is a frequent presenter at open source and embedded conferences, including the Embedded Linux Conference and Embedded World. You can see some of his work on the “Inner Penguin” blog at www.2net.co.uk

Klaus Iglberger is a freelancing C++ trainer and consultant. He has finished his PhD in computer science in 2010 and since then is focused on large-scale C++ software design. He shares his experience in popular advanced C++ courses around the world (mainly in Germany, but also the EU and US). Additionally, he is the author of "C++ Software Design" (https://learning.oreilly.com/library/view/c-software-design/9781098113155/), the initiator and lead designer of the Blaze C++ math library (https://bitbucket.org/blaze-lib/blaze/src/master/) and an organizer of the Munich C++ user group (https://www.meetup.com/MUCplusplus/).

Robert C. Seacord is the Standardization Lead at Woven Planet he works on the Software Craft. Robert was previously a Technical Director at NCC Group, Secure Coding Manager at Carnegie Mellon's Software Engineering Institute, and an adjunct professor in the School of Computer Science and the Information Networking Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.

He is the author of seven books, including Effective C: An Introduction to Professional C Programming (No Starch Press, 2020), The CERT C Coding Standard, Second Edition (Addison-Wesley, 2014) Secure Coding in C and C++, Second Edition (Addison-Wesley, 2013).  Robert has been teaching secure coding in C and C++ to private industry, academia, and government since 2005. 

Robert is on the Advisory Board for the Linux Foundation is the incoming convener of the ISO/IEC JTC1/SC22/WG14 international standardization working group for the C programming language.

Jason has 2 decades of C++ experience and is a regular conference speaker, developer, and trainer. He is host of the YouTube channel C++ Weekly and co-host of CppCast, the first podcast for C++ developers.

Andreas Fertig, CEO of Unique Code GmbH, is an experienced trainer and lecturer for C++ for standards 11 to 20.

Andreas is involved in the C++ standardization committee, in which the new standards are developed. At international conferences, he presents how code can be written better. He publishes specialist articles, e.g., for iX magazine, and has published several textbooks on C++.

With C++ Insights (https://cppinsights.io), Andreas has created an internationally recognized tool that enables users to look behind the scenes of C++ and thus understand constructs even better.

Before working as a trainer and consultant, he worked for Philips Medizin Systeme GmbH for ten years as a C++ software developer and architect focusing on embedded systems.

Director at LUNARC. Jonas has a background in Structural Mechanics where he worked on distributed finite element applications, new user interface concepts for engineering application as well as visualisation of material behavior in mechanical simulations. Since 2004 he has been working at LUNARC designing, implementing and operating HPC resources for Lund University. He is also actively engaged in teaching scientific computing (Python, C++ and Fortran) for graduate as well as post graduate students. At LUNARC he has been the main developer of GfxLauncher and multiple other HPC related tools (ARC Storage Explorer, LUNARC Application portal and ml-browse a graphical module browser for lmod).

Liz Moy is a developer evangelist for Twilio who enjoys collaborating on projects using code and creating environments where creativity can happen. She runs hackathons and technical workshops for Fortune 500 companies, builds serious and silly demos, and talks to developers about what they are making on the Build and Deploy podcast. Espen is a developer and architect with over 25 years of experience. He has worked on everything from embedded systems, electronics and games to large scale cloud applications. He is as full-stack as they come. Espen started coding at age six on a C64, and has been cranking out software ever since. 

He served as the principal architect, tech lead and lead security 
engineer on the compensation scheme for Covid-19 suffering 
businesses released by the Norwegian government. 

Espen was the Senior VP of Technology Exploration for DNB in San Fransisco and is currently doing technology and security research in DNB NewTechLab.

I've worked as a software architect, team lead, and instructor since 1999. In 2002, I created company-intern meetings for further education and have given training courses since 2002. My first tutorials were about proprietary management software, but I began teaching Python and C++ soon after. In my spare time, I like to write articles about C++, Python, and Haskell, and to speak at conferences. I publish weekly on my English blog [Modernes Cpp](https://www.modernescpp.com/) and the [German blog](https://www.grimm-jaud.de/index.php/blog), hosted by Heise Developer.
Since 2016, I'm an independent instructor giving seminars about modern C++ and Python. In the last ten years, I published several books in various languages about modern C++. Due to my profession, I always search for the best way to teach modern C++.

Vitaly is a senior software engineer at reMarkable. He has been designing and developing software using C++ and some other languages for over 10 years. Primary areas of interest are design and development of frameworks and libraries, modern programming languages, and functional programming.
Vitaly holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Moscow State Mining University.

I have been designing and developing software developer for the last 12 years which I spend working on many different projects and various platforms with and without operating system. I enjoy analyzing code to understand how it works and identify areas for improvement. Also I like to optimize the development process, from streamlining workflows to improving team communication and resolving bottlenecks.

Main areas of interest are libraries, framework, architecture, build systems, package management and modern programming languages.

Ignat is a systems engineer at Cloudflare working mostly on Linux, platforms and hardware security. Ignat’s interests are cryptography, hacking, and low-level programming. Before Cloudflare, Ignat worked as a senior security engineer for Samsung Electronics’ Mobile Communications Division. His solutions may be found in many older Samsung smart phones and tablets. Ignat started his career as a security researcher in the Ukrainian government’s communications services.

Jonathan is a library developer at think-cell. In his spare time, he works on various C++ open source libraries for memory allocation, cache-friendly containers, or parsing. He also blogs at foonathan.net and is a member of the C++ standardization committee.

Daniela has a degree in electrical engineering and has been working for more than 30 years in small innovative companies in the field of software and hardware development. She has spent her youth with exploring the very first microprocessors since the late 70's, and has been creating software professionally for 40 years now. After a long time using many different programming languages, C++ has now been the exclusive workhorse throughout the last two decades. With great pleasure Daniela is now also a member of the ISO C++ committee. For the better part of her career, the domain was applied digital signal processing (medicine, metrology, reconnaissance), but during the last decade the focus shifted onto special engineering in the field of industrial non-destructive testing of semi-finished and finished steel products using ultrasound. Besides that, she loves to relax with hard metal and soft cheese, hot curries and cool jazz.

Hana is working as a senior principal scientist at Gen Digital. She is known as author of Compile-Time-Regular-Expression (CTRE) library. She is chair of SG7 "Reflection study group" in the C++ committee where she also represents Czechia National Body.

Victor Ciura is a Principal Engineer on the Visual C++ team, helping to improve the tools he’s been using for years. Leading engineering efforts across multiple teams working on making Visual Studio the best IDE for C++ Game developers.

Before joining Microsoft, he programmed C++ professionally for 20 years, designing and implementing several core components & libraries of Advanced Installer, improving the virtualization and repackaging technologies for MSI/MSIX.

One of his hobbies is tidying-up and modernizing aging codebases and has been known to build open-source tools that help this process: Clang Power Tools.

He’s a regular guest at Computer Science Department of his Alma Mater, University of Craiova, where he gives student lectures & workshops on using modern C++, STL, algorithms and optimization techniques.

Jason has a long-standing love/hate affair with C++ and vastly prefers *nix-like O/S. With over 20 years experience, including programming prototype super-computers and automated program-verifiers, but mainly in finance, now focusing on low-latency and HFT software and architectures and the issues arising from them. I am also actively involved with the ISO C++ Standards Committee (UK Panel) and try to present regularly to maintain my skill-set.

Peter Sommerlad is an independent trainer and consultant for modern and safe C++ and software engineering. Before the pandemic, he was professor and director of IFS Institute for Software at FHO/HSR Rapperswil, Switzerland. Peter is co-author of the books POSA Vol.1 and Security Patterns and contributed to "97 things every programmer should know". His goal is to make software simpler and safer and help programmers getting there.  Peter is a member of MISRA-C++, Hillside, ACM, IEEE Computer Society, and the ISO WG21 "C++" and WG23 "vulnerabilities" standardization committee.

Helge has  worked professionally with C++ since the early 1990s, and has also developed SW using other languages like C#, Java and Rust.
He has worked mostly in the embedded space, and has developed SW autonomous submarines, control systems,  radars, data recorders, airborne systems, and various other things.
He currently works at Thales Norway where he is a SW developer and architect, and also tinkers a little with process and methodology.

Adrian Stanciu is a software engineer from Romania, with more than 10 years of professional experience in Linux system programming.
He has a bachelor's degree in computer science from Politehnica University of Bucharest and a master's degree in computer and network security from the same university.
His main programming languages are C and C++, being passionate about algorithms, data structures and operating systems.
In his spare time, he enjoys watching and playing tennis.


James has been working for over 20 years in software and hardware development. He has worked with test automation since 2008 and has gradually switched from a successful developer and architect role over to an experienced test automation specialist role. James focuses on how automatic end-to-end testing can bring together all the participants in an agile team and deliver value early in the requirements gathering and active development stages, long before the software is close to being finished. When not giving Neat’s video-conference solutions strange dreams, James enjoys the Norwegian outdoors, especially when skiing and flyfishing.

Ørnulf Staff works at Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace. His area of expertise is data distribution in environments where catastrophic failures are to be expected. He is lead developer on Kongsberg's in-house implementation of the DDS standard called InterCOM DDS. The library is widely used in both civilian and military parts of the company.

Ørnulf has a PhD in distributed numerical algorithms from the University of Oslo. He has worked as a developer at Kongsberg for the past 13 years, first with flow simulation at the oil and gas division (now Kongsberg Digital). He has been at Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace since 2015.

Hans started working in the software industry 20+ years ago as a system administrator. Via application administration he soon moved into software development, where he was bitten by the C++ virus. Not wanting to be cured, he is always searching for the next cool thing C++.
Having worked at several companies in the past, Hans now works at CGI in the Netherlands, where he is improving a legacy system for managing high loads of HPC jobs. As part of his work, Hans is introducing modern C++ concepts in the code, and teaching his co-workers about it.
When not working or being otherwise engaged behind a computer, Hans prefers to be outdoors for sports, a walk or hiking in nature with friends.

Ólafur Waage is a Senior Software Developer working for Factlines in Norway. Previously he worked for many years in the gaming and air traffic control industries. His work focuses mainly on programming with C++ and TypeScript. In his spare time he unsurprisingly likes video games and puzzles but he also enjoys non-fiction audio books and it would be a very strange day if it were not filled with music in some way.

Damien (aka daminetreg), co-founder and CEO from tipi.build is an enthusiast C++ developer. He is Opensource entrepreneur, CppCon Speaker, GameMaker.fr community founder, Qt for Android contributor and Boost.Fusion maintainer since 2014.

Physicist, neuroscientist and programmer. Currently working as a senior software engineer in the Camera team in Zivid. Strong interest in educational simulations and visualizations.

Anders started programming in Turbo Pascal in 1995, and has been programming professionally in various languages since 2001. He's currently a principal engineer at Ascenium in Oslo, working on a new CPU design. He's also the author of 

Olve has been teaching coding skills and software engineering techniques for decades, mostly related to C++, TDD, Java, secure coding, cloud, Python, and C. Professionally he has been involved in developing software for: insurance applications, road toll systems, seismic acquisition, high performance computing, banking, payment terminals, videoconferencing appliances, cloud solutions, and energy systems. Patrick Schittekat is Principal Engineer at Ascenium Inc where he focuses on the development of a LLVM backend for Aptos. The Ascenium Aptos is a novel, general-purpose processor architecture. It aims to eliminate the performance bottlenecks and high power consumption of the current CPU's extremely complex hardware implementation. Patrick has 20 years of experience both in the software industry as in research. He pursued and obtained his PhD in Mathematics, Optimization for Industrial Applications, while starting the Belgian subsidiary of ORTEC, a planning software supplier using Operation Research. After this, he was Professor in Operations Management at the Free University of Brussels before he moved to SINTEF, Norway. Before joining Ascenium Inc, Patrick was responsible at SINTEF for the development of Air Traffic Control software. The team has developed industry-leading decision support for Aviation and Air Traffic Control (ATC). Their work for ATC received an outstanding project award in SESAR, the largest EU modernization program for ATC systems.

As a C and C++ software developer, Anastasia Kazakova created real-time *nix-based systems and pushed them to production for 8 years. She worked as an intern in Microsoft Research, Networking department, outsourced in Telecom, and launched the 4G network. She has a passion for networking algorithms and embedded programming and believes in good tooling. With all her love for C++, she is now the Product Marketing Manager on the JetBrains C++ tools and .NET marketing teams.

John Regehr is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Utah, where he has been on the faculty since 2003. His research focuses on software testing, software verification, and compiler optimization. One of Professor Regehr's current projects is Alive2, a tool for formally verifying (or finding bugs in) optimizations performed by the LLVM compiler. So far, it has resulted in the discovery of more than 50 previously unknown LLVM defects. His previous projects include Csmith, a random program generator that found more than 500 bugs in production-quality C compilers, and C-Reduce, a tool that can greatly reduce the size of a test case that triggers a compiler bug.

Patricia Aas is an international speaker and has spoken at CppCon, ACCU, C++OnSea, NDC Security, NDC Oslo and many other conferences on subjects ranging from Sandboxing in Chromium to Vulnerabilities in C++. She has taught a range of subjects in Computer Science at the University of Oslo.

Patricia has a masters degree in Computer Science and 13 years professional experience as a programmer, most of that time programming in C++. During that time she has worked in codebases with a high focus on security: two browsers (Opera and Vivaldi) and embedded Cisco telepresence systems.

Björn wrote his first program in 1980. After completing his MSc in CS and Engineering in 1994, programming has been the primary source of income, mostly from writing embedded software for communications systems. He has been working for a while at Net Insight, where he wears many hats, including mentor, trouble shooter, network communications expert, software architect and programmer; the latter in increasingly modern C++.

Occasionally Björn has been seen tinkering with unorthodox software constructs, pondering "what can be done with this?" He lives in Stockholm

JeanHeyd "ThePhD" is a student and an organizer for Shepherd's Oasis, LLC. They are the Project Editor for the C Language, and they manage large open-source contributions -- sol2, ztd.text, ztd.cuneicode, and more -- that is used across many industries and academic disciplines. They are currently working towards earning their own nickname, climbing the academic ladder while spending as much time as possible contributing to C and C++ standardization and development. Their newest and biggest project is Unicode for C and C++.

They very much love dogs and hopes to have their own in a few years or so. They also like TWRP's "Feels Pretty Good" from the album Together Through Time, and "Truth" from T-SQUARE's album TRUTH.

Andrei Alexandrescu is a researcher, software engineer, and author. He wrote three best-selling books on programming (Modern C++ Design, C++ Coding Standards, and The D Programming Language) and numerous articles, papers, and book chapters on wide-ranging topics from programming to language design to Machine Learning to Natural Language Processing. Andrei holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Washington and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from University "Politehnica" Bucharest. He currently works as a Principal Research Scientist at NVIDIA.

Kate Gregory is an enthusiastic C++ programmer and teacher, and has been paid to program since 1979. She believes that software should make our lives easier. That includes making the lives of developers easier! She'll stay up late arguing about deterministic destruction or how modern C++ is not the C++ you remember. She is one of the three leads of the Carbon Language project, a founder of #include <C++>, and on the board of C++ Toronto, which runs CppNorth.

Kate runs a small consulting firm in rural Ontario and provides mentoring and management consultant services, as well as writing code every week. She has spoken all over the world, written over a dozen books, and helped thousands of developers to be better at what they do. Kate is a Visual C++ MVP, and develops courses for Pluralsight, primarily on C++.

Jørgen is a programmer and free software enthusiast, with a passion for programming languages, high-quality software, and beautiful programs. He mostly works with developing libraries for scientific computing and peculiar legacy industry files in the energy industry. He has an MSc in Computer Science from NTU and develops free software at Equinor in Bergen.

Sebastian is a chemical engineer turned software developer. Previously working with fire simulation and probabilistic risk analysis in the Oil & Gas sector, he has transitioned into software engineering and now works as an independent consultant. 

Sebastian is passionate about improving quality and reproducibility in science and research by bridging the knowledge gap between scientists and software engineers.

Peder is pythonista with interest in AI, networking, systems and web development, reproducible package management, and declarative system configuration.
He is currently researching neural fields at NTNU, and regularly submits tweaks and fixes to various open source projects.
