As a C and C++ software developer, Anastasia Kazakova created real-time \*nix-based systems and pushed them to production for 8 years. She worked as an intern in Microsoft Research, Networking department, outsourced in Telecom, and launched the 4G network. She has a passion for networking algorithms and embedded programming and believes in good tooling. With all her love for C++, she is now the Product Marketing Manager on the JetBrains C++ tools and .NET marketing teams.

Originally educated in arts and design, Anders has spent the last twenty years writing code.

Arne Mertz has been working with modern and not-so-modern C++ codebases for over 15 years in various kinds of embedded and enterprise contexts. He is a mentor and teacher for clean code and modern C++ for colleagues and customers at Zühlke Engineering. Since 2015 he has written more or less frequently about those topics on his blog "Simplify C++!"

Arno is responsible for the development of all think-cell software products. He oversees our R&D team, quality assurance and customer care. Before founding think-cell, Arno worked at Microsoft Research and McKinsey.
Arno studied computer science and management and holds a Ph.D. from Georgia Tech with a specialization in computer graphics.

Austin is a founding director of Sixty North, a software consulting, training, and application development company. A native of Texas, in 2008 Austin moved to Stavanger, Norway where he helped develop industry-leading oil reservoir modeling software in C++ and Python. Prior to that he worked at National Instruments developing LabVIEW, at Applied Research Labs (Univ. of Texas at Austin) developing sonar systems for the U.S. Navy, and at a number of telecommunications companies. He is an experienced presenter, teacher, and author, and he is an active member of the open source community. Austin holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.

JeanHeyd "ThePhD" is a student and an organizer for Shepherd's Oasis, LLC. They are the Project Editor for the C Language, and they manage large open-source contributions -- sol2, ztd.text, ztd.cuneicode, and more -- that is used across many industries and academic disciplines. They are currently working towards earning their own nickname, climbing the academic ladder while spending as much time as possible contributing to C and C++ standardization and development. Their newest and biggest project is Unicode for C and C++.

They very much love dogs and hopes to have their own in a few years or so. They also like TWRP's "Feels Pretty Good" from the album Together Through Time, and "Truth" from T-SQUARE's album TRUTH.

Björn is a senior developer at Net Insight, where he is currently coordinating the technical work of teams developing electronics, FPGA, embedded software, distributed control systems and web applications. He is keen on improving the skills of the teams he works in, by learning, and by sharing knowledge. Björn has worked full time with software development since 1994, mostly for networking products, and primarily in C++. He has also created the popular open source C++ libraries, Trompeloeil for mocking, and strong_type for type safety.

Bryce Adelstein Lelbach has spent over a decade developing programming languages, compilers, and software libraries. He is a Principal Architect at NVIDIA, where he leads HPC programming language efforts and drives the technical roadmap for NVIDIA's HPC compilers and libraries. Bryce is passionate about C++ and is one of the leaders of the C++ community. He has served as chair of INCITS/PL22, the US standards committee for programming languages and the Standard C++ Library Evolution group. Bryce served as the program chair for the C++Now and CppCon conferences for many years. On the C++ Committee, he has personally worked on concurrency primitives, parallel algorithms, executors, and multidimensional arrays. He is one of the founding developers of the HPX parallel runtime system. Outside of work, Bryce is passionate about airplanes and watches.

Chandler Carruth is the technical lead for Google’s programming languages and software foundations. He has worked extensively on the C++ programming language and the Clang and LLVM compiler infrastructure. Previously, he worked on several pieces of Google’s distributed build system and made guest appearances helping maintain a few core C++ libraries across Google’s codebase. He received his M.S. and B.S. in Computer Science from Wake Forest University, but disavows all knowledge of the contents of his Master’s thesis. When not hammering away on a weirdly shaped keyboard, he enjoys sushi, fine dining, brown spirits, and everything about wine.

Chris Ryan was classically trained in software and hardware engineering. He is well experienced in Modern C++ on projects of all sizes and Classic ‘C’. He is only interested in Modern C++ projects and is taking a break from firmware & embedded software. Chris is on the ISO C++ Standards Committee(WG21) mostly working with the (Language) Evolution Working Group(EWG).

He works in complex problem spaces but believes in reducing complexity.

Daniela has a degree in electrical engineering and has been working for more than 30 years in small innovative companies in the field of software and hardware development. She has spent her youth with exploring the very first microprocessors since the late 70's, and has been creating software professionally for 40 years now. After a long time using many different programming languages, C++ has now been the exclusive workhorse throughout the last two decades. With great pleasure Daniela is now also a member of the ISO C++ committee. For the better part of her career, the domain was applied digital signal processing (medicine, metrology, reconnaissance), but during the last decade the focus shifted onto special engineering in the field of industrial non-destructive testing of semi-finished and finished steel products using ultrasound. Besides that, she loves to relax with hard metal and soft cheese, hot curries and cool jazz.

Darrel is currently the Orion Flight Software System Manager at NASA, Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. He has over 40 years experience in Commercial, Department of Defense, and NASA aircraft/spacecraft software. He has worked on software for the F-14, OV-1, AHIP, Space Station, Space Shuttle, and the Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (Orion). He has worked with embedded software control systems his whole career.

Eirik has spent most of his career working with embedded systems and wireless communication, mainly as a software engineer. Now he mainly spends his time in customer meetings, trying to understand their needs, propose solutions, and convey the customer needs to the engineers. Having a deep interest in how work works he try to be the manager he wish he had when he was working with code.

Eivind is a software developer at Equinor where he works on scientific computing that runs on HPC clusters. He is passionate about testing and can't stop talking about Property Based Testing after becoming enamoured with haskell programming. In his spare time he likes to ride bicycles.

Eivind Bergem is an embedded software developer working at Inventas, where he is the annoying guy at the office who never stops talking about Rust.

I am an telecommunications engineer who has been developing electronic products, both hardware and software, since 2006. I have professional experience in sectors like defence, automotive, railway, renewable energies, power electronics and semiconductors, from small, medium and large multinational companies.
But much more important than what I made, where or when, is how I made it. During most of these years, I barely managed to survive. Yes, 'survive'. Because I failed to follow a sustainable, iterative, almost defect-free (both in behavior and in structure) development process in every project I was involved. And I was not alone. Every team member had a shared belief: embedded was 'that' hard.
By accident, guided by the pain of being unable to satisfy my customers, in 2016 I found out about the existence of Test-Driven Development (TDD), which pointed me out to Extreme Programming (XP), Agile and Craftmanship. It was a revealing moment, a whole game changer in my professional career. I felt like I had been living inside Plato's cave. Like a prisoner suffering Stockholm syndrome with his beloved hardware, being devoid of the proper principles, knowledge and tools to consider himself a true professional.
Nowadays, I help teams and organizations to improve their development processes as a part of my long road to software craftsmanship, offering both technical coaching and training.

My adult working life started off playing with lasers in a darkened laboratory. After a while the darkness got to me and I realised that if I programmed computers to do the work I could spend my time in a day-lit office. From automating telecommunication research experiments I wandered into developing telecoms software.

I’ve spent the majority of my working life building video conferencing infrastructure products, initially in C++ and more recently Python at a variety of companies from young startups to ature companies such as Tandberg and Cisco. My non-product code has seen forays into various Lisps and now Haskell.

Whilst I enjoy programming, I’m also fascinated by the process of developing a software product. This came to a head when I and others founded Pexip in 2012. I’ve now stepped back from the world of software engineering management and am getting involved again in the more academic sides of software development.

Hana is staff software engineer in Woven by Toyota. She is known for the CTRE library (Compile Time Regular Expressions). She also chair SG7 "study group for reflection" and co-chair EWG (Evolution Working Group)  in the WG21 (the ISO C++ standardisation committee) where she represents Czechia national body. 

Helge has  worked professionally with C++ since the early 1990s, and has also developed SW using other languages like C#, Java and Rust.
He has worked mostly in the embedded space, and has developed SW for autonomous submarines, control systems,  radars, data recorders, airborne systems, and various other things.
He currently works at Thales Norway where he is a SW developer and architect, and also tinkers a little with process and methodology.

Hendrik is a C++ developer and works on software for analysis of pipeline inspection data. This includes topics like machine learning, 
numerical mathematics and distributed computing. Before this he completed his PhD in physics at the University of Osnabrück with a thesis about quantum mechanics and 
numerical simulations where he got to know and and love programming and complex, mathematical tasks. 
His favorite programming languages, in which he also has the most experience, are C++ and Rust. He describes himself as a "learning enthusiast" 
who always gets absorbed in trying out new things. Therefore, he values being up to date with programming languages 
and using the latest features of them in a meaningful way. 

Ignat is a systems engineer at Cloudflare working mostly on Linux, platforms and hardware security. Ignat’s interests are cryptography, hacking, and low-level programming. Before Cloudflare, Ignat worked as a senior security engineer for Samsung Electronics’ Mobile Communications Division. His solutions may be found in many older Samsung smart phones and tablets. Ignat started his career as a security researcher in the Ukrainian government’s communications services.

Jakub is a contributor to the networking and BPF subsystems in the Linux kernel. He is also a co-maintainer of the Linux BPF L7 framework, aka sockmap. At Cloudflare he is part of the team which delivers Linux kernels into production.

James has been working for over 20 years in software and hardware development. He has worked with test automation since 2008 and has gradually switched from a successful developer and architect role over to an experienced test automation specialist role. James focuses on how automatic end-to-end testing can bring together all the participants in an agile team and deliver value early in the requirements gathering and active development stages, long before the software is close to being finished. When not giving Neat’s video-conference solutions strange dreams, James enjoys the Norwegian outdoors, especially when skiing and flyfishing.

Jan Wegger is a software developer at Cisco Systems in Norway, currently working on an in-house developed QA tool for their Collaboration Video Endpoints.

Jan's passion for programming started in 1982 when he were introduced to the wonders of Basic on a TI-99/4A and started creating stuff as silly as you'd expect from a 9-year-old. His professional career started at Tandberg in 2002, later acquired by Cisco, and that is were he's still coding to the best of his ability. Initial years were spent on everything video software related for the Tandberg/Cisco video collaboration products. Around 2010, while working on these complex distributed embedded systems, what began as a modest crash analysis side project soon took on a life of its own and became a pivotal element of both his career and the continuous delivery pipeline for Cisco's video collaboration devices.

Jana is an engineer in Gen and a new member of Czech NB in WG21 (the C++ committee) with a main interest in SG1 (study group of concurrency). Previously she worked in game dev(Top Spin 4, Mafia II, Carrier Command, and DayZ). She studied computer graphics at Czech Technical University.

Jason has 2 decades of C++ experience and is a regular conference speaker, developer, and trainer. He has been publishing weekly C++ videos on his YouTube channel, C++ Weekly, since 2016.

Joakim Lier is a Software Engineer and Product Owner at Cisco Systems Norway, currently working on the web browser for the video conferencing products. Programming languages and tools has always been a passion, since the early days of university, so you'll usually find him tinkering on something related to a language during his free time.

Jonas is an underwater enthusiast and software developer. e had 12 years of experience as a consultant and software developer before joining the newly founded underwater technology company Blueye Robotics in 2016. In 2018, Jonas took on the role of chief technology officer, leading technical development and strategy at Blueye. He still spends most of his time writing code across the entire stack, from embedded Linux to mobile iOS and Android apps.

He has broad experience as a software developer, project lead, and architect. He has delivered projects covering everything from large distributed systems to mobile applications and games in various industries in the private and public sectors.

He is an experienced speaker from national and international industry events like TechEd, MSDN Live, JavaZone, Smidig, ROOTS, and NDC.

Jonathan is a Software Engineer at think-cell where he maintains the core libraries. He is the author of C++ open-source projects like type_safe, a library of safety utilities and foonathan/memory, a memory allocator library. More recently, he’s taken an interest in programming languages and compilers and has published lexy, a parser library, and lauf, a bytecode interpreter. He is also on the C++ standardization committee where he is the assistant chair for std::ranges.

Jørgen is a programmer and has mainly been writing free software in his career - lately targeting gcc. He left the energy industry for work on compiler toolchains and build systems in Japan, before returning to his native Norway where he is currently programmer & director at patch. Now he solves hard and interesting problems where he can find them, does bespoke programming as well as teaching, training, and consulting. He holds an MSc in Computer Science from NTNU.

Kate Gregory is an enthusiastic C++ programmer and teacher, and has been paid to program since 1979. She believes that software should make our lives easier. That includes making the lives of developers easier! She'll stay up late arguing about deterministic destruction or how modern C++ is not the C++ you remember. She is one of the three leads of the Carbon Language project, a founder of #include <C++>, and on the board of C++ Toronto, which runs CppNorth.

Kate runs a small consulting firm in rural Ontario and provides mentoring and management consultant services, as well as writing code every week. She has spoken all over the world, written over a dozen books, and helped thousands of developers to be better at what they do. Kate is a Visual C++ MVP, and develops courses for Pluralsight, primarily on C++.

Klaus Iglberger is a freelance C++ trainer and consultant. He shares his expertise in popular C++ courses — from beginner to advanced — all around the world. Martin Hořeňovský is currently a Software Engineer at Pex. He used to teach modern C++ at Czech Technical University in Prague, and for some reason still maintains Catch2, a popular C++ unit testing framework.

Martin Ertsås is a software developer working for Cisco Systems in Norway on their Colaboration Video Endpoints.

I'm a Norwegian developer who seeks to reduce the amount we rely on factors outside of our control. My professional experience spans from web development to real time safety critical systems, having worked for private and public companies in the domains of maritime, defence and public services.

Patricia Aas is an international speaker and has spoken at CppCon, ACCU, C++OnSea, NDC Security, NDC Oslo and many other conferences on subjects ranging from Sandboxing in Chromium to Vulnerabilities in C++. She has taught a range of subjects in Computer Science at the University of Oslo.

Patricia has a masters degree in Computer Science and 13 years professional experience as a programmer, most of that time programming in C++. During that time she has worked in codebases with a high focus on security: two browsers (Opera and Vivaldi) and embedded Cisco telepresence systems.

Paulo is a key software developer at Siemens. He received his B.Sc. in electronics engineering in Brazil and M.Sc. in Communications and Multimedia Engineering in Germany. Interested in the topics that lie between hardware and software, he published papers on hardware efficient algorithms for image and video compression and worked as a scientific researcher on security and privacy for IoT devices and electrical grids. Since 2020 he works full-time at Siemens on embedded development with applications in power electronics, industry automation and data connectivity.


Phil is the author of the C++ test framework, Catch2, and the composable command line parser, Clara. Now an independent consultant and trainer, he's an advocate for good testing practices, TDD and using the type system, functional techniques and static analysis to reduce complexity and increase correctness. He's previously worked in finance and mobile, as well as developer advocacy for quality-focused software developer tools.

Robert C. Seacord is the Standardization Lead at Woven Planet he works on the Software Craft. Robert was previously a Technical Director at NCC Group, Secure Coding Manager at Carnegie Mellon's Software Engineering Institute, and an adjunct professor in the School of Computer Science and the Information Networking Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.

Sean Parent is a senior principal scientist and software architect managing Adobe’s Software Technology Lab. Sean joined Adobe in 1993, working on Photoshop, and is one of the creators of Photoshop Web, Photoshop Mobile, Lightroom Mobile, and Lightroom Web. In 2009, Sean spent a year at Google working on Chrome OS before returning to Adobe. From 1988 through 1993, Sean worked at Apple, where he was part of the system software team that developed the technologies that allowed Apple’s successful transition to PowerPC.

Simon Goda is a senior member of technical staff at Doulos, the world-renowned training provider for hardware and software design. He has been working with Linux & Android in embedded systems for over 15 years, starting at STMicroelectronics (R&D) Ltd, supporting and training customers using Linux, Android and RTOS on set-top box and home entertainment products. At Doulos he writes and delivers training in the embedded Linux & Android space, including device drivers, Yocto, Android Automotive and Linux security.

Theodor is a musician, programmer and free software hacker. He is a core contributor to Emacs, in which he has a focus on creating developer tooling such as incremental parsing support and extending LSP support. His day job is at TV2, where he works as an architect.
