Sy works on WebAssembly technologies at Fastly and is currently responsible for implementing cooperative multithreading across the entire ecosystem. They’ve also contributed to the standards for C++, DWARF, and HSA. Brand earned a degree in computer science from the University of St. Andrews, specializing in compiler implementation. They also are a poet, filmmaker, musician, activist, and parent to three cats and one entire human.
